Founded over forty years ago, Conifer Newcomers and Neighbors was begun to allow those new to our mountain communities, and those long standing residents, to meet socially and participate in fundraising activities that would enable contributions to deserving non-profit mountain area organizations.
Each year Conifer Newcomers and Neighbors hosts
their “Holiday
Boutique“, a juried arts and crafts fair, in November. Run
entirely by
member volunteers, profits from this event have allowed us to donate
hundreds
of thousands of dollars over its 34 years of existence.
In addition, our membership (numbering over 160) participates in a
variety of
special interest groups including:
Book Club Hiking
(with
and without dogs)
Bridge Gourmet
and Touring Lunch Bunch groups
Business Resources Gardening,
Scrap booking and Crafts Wine
Tasting
Jewelry Making Skiing
Biking
Men's
Outdoor Group
Mah Jongg
As you can imagine, these groups can keep our active membership busy
each day
of the week!
Meeting at 9am the first Friday of the month, September through June,
at Our
Lady of the Pines Catholic Church community room, we welcome everyone
to visit and join us as we
look forward to continue new friends and our efforts of making
contributions to
this very special place in
